Which takes up more space, water or ice?

Most substances take up less space when frozen than when liquid. Ice from water on the other hand occupies more space than the original liquid water did.

What makes a good home for a woodpecker?

Most species of woodpeckers prefer dead trees or "snags," and drill out a space for them to nest. Only the Red-cockaded Woodpecker uses living trees to nest. The Red-cockaded woodpecker is also the only species to live in colonies.

What year did the United States land on the moon?

On July 20, 1969 the first manned spacecraft landed on the moon. The Moon was first visited by Soviet spacecraft Luna 2 in 1959. It is the only extraterrestrial body to have been visited by humans. The last time the moon was visited by man was in December of 1972.
