Nearsightedness farsightedness and how glasses work
Simply put, the eyeglass lens is a tool you use to focus light appropriately on your retina. For example, a lens that is concave, or curves inward, is used to correct nearsightedness, while a lens that is convex, or curves outward, is used to correct farsightedness.

Nearsightedness causes nearby objects to appear clear, while objects farther away look blurry. Farsightedness is where far away objects appear clear and objects up close appear blurry.

To correct astigmatism, which is caused by distortions in the shape of the cornea, a cylinder shaped lens is frequently used.

The true source of the Nike "Just Do It" marketing campaign
In 1985 state health department employee Ron Hall won a "choose our slogan" contest for the Oregon Health Department Fitness Club. His winning entry? "Just do it."

Nike and Weiden & Kennedy, also based in Portland Oregon, began using it a couple years later and it is still being used today.

Ron Hall has never been credited or rewarded for his help launching one of the greatest marketing campaigns in history.

Easily attained substance found to reduce the risk of breast cancer!
In 2003, a North Carolina State University study of over 15,000 women found that women who performed the act of fellatio and swallowed semen on a regular basis - one to two times a week - reduced their risk of breast cancer by up to 40 percent. No benefit was found for those who did not participate regularly.

In addition to reducing risk of breast cancer, semen was shown to reduce the length and severity of common colds, soothes a sore throat, and even manage depression!

"Only with regular occurrence will your chances be reduced, so I encourage all women out there to make fellatio an important part of their daily routine," said Dr. Helena Shifteer, one of the researchers at the University. "Since the emergence of the research, I try to fellate at least once every other night to reduce my chances."
